Bengals top pick out for year … Cincinnati OT Jonah Williams, the Bengals first-round pick at this year’s draft, is expected to miss the entire upcoming season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder. Williams, an All-American at Alabama last season, was selected with the 11th overall pick in the draft.

Pats-Lions trade for TE Roberts rescinded … Yesterday’s trade between Detroit and New England in which the Patriots acquired veteran TE Michael Roberts from the Lions for a conditional 2020 7th-round pick has been rescinded when Roberts failed his physical with the Patriots.
