Lions start housecleaning … For those that haven’t heard already, Detroit has fired GM Martin Mayhew and team president Tom Lewand. No replacements have been announced but more changes are expected for a franchise mired in a 1-7 season that would translate to the top pick at the 2016 draft if it were held today. Stay tuned!

Broncos get 49ers vet TE Davis for picks … In advance of tomorrow’s NFL trade deadline, Denver has confirmed acquiring veteran TE Vernon Davis from San Francisco in exchange for 6th round picks in each of the 2016 and 2017 drafts. To complete the deal, the Broncos will get the 49ers’ 7th round pick in 2016.
