Buckeyes’ Bosa; top WRs enter draft … Ohio State junior DE Joey Bosa has confirmed that he will be entering the 2016 draft. OSU head coach Urban Meyer actually indicated prior to today’s Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame that Bosa, the consensus #1 prospect for the upcoming draft, would be turning pro this year. As reported earlier, Bosa’s Fiesta Bowl didn’t last as long as he had hoped as he was ejected in the first quarter for targeting. Meanwhile, junior WRs Tyler Boyd of Pittsburgh and De’Runnya Wilson of Mississippi State have both also announced they will be entering the draft. Both are considered second round prospects at this point but both have the physical potential to ultimately slip into the latter part of the opening round. For the record, Boyd had 91 catches this past season, although he averaged barely 11 yards per reception in what was considered a down year for him. Meanwhile, Boyd had 60 catches this fall, including 10 for TDs, and at 6-5 has the kind of length that pro teams covet in a go-to receiver. For now, Boyd is currently ranked 3rd and Wilson 7th among WRs for the 2016 draft by the GBN. With the addition of these three, the number of underclassmen declaring for the draft has grown to 47 by our unofficial count. On the other hand, both Wisconsin junior OLB Vince Biegel and Oregon redshirt sophomore WR Darren Carrington have reported they will be returning to school for the 2016 season.
