Texans name Gaine G.M.; extend HC O’Brien … Houston has hired Brian Gaine as their new general manager to replace Rick Smith. Gaine, who had been Buffalo’s vice president of player personnel the past few years, gets a five-year contract. Meanwhile, the Texans have extended the contract of head coach Bill O’Brien by four years.
