Unheralded SDSU TE enters draft … San Diego State junior TE Kahale Warring made the surprise announcement via twitter that he will be foregoing his final year of eligibility and entering the 2019 draft. Its a surprising decision as Warring isn’t all that highly regarded a prospect and probably could have benefited from another year in school. Indeed, Warring didn’t play football at all until his senior year in high school before walking on at SDSU. However, he’s a really good athlete who played everything from soccer and basketball to water polo and tennis in high school before committing to football. Warring is listed at 6-6, 250 and this past year caught a team-leading 31 receptions for 370 yards and 3 TDs. The announcement by Warring brings the number of underclassmen who have indicated in one way or another that they will be foregoing their remaining college eligibility and entering the upcoming draft.
