UM LB Bush; EMU DE Crosby enter draft

Wolverine LB Bush; EMU DE Crosby enter draft … A couple of Michigan-based players have announced over the past 24 hours that they will be entering the 2019 draft. No surprise, for example, that star Michigan junior LB Devin Bush will be peddling his wares in the pro next year. Bush is somewhat undersized at just 5-11, 235, but he has good speed along with better instincts and quickness. Over the past two seasons bush had almost 200 tackles including 10 sacks; he’s also very good in coverage and figures to be a late first or early second round pick this coming April. Bush, though, won’t play in the Wolverines’ Peach Bowl date with Florida because of a hip injury suffered in the season-ending loss to Ohio State. Bush will be joined in the 2019 draft class by Eastern Michigan junior DE Maxx Crosby who could get some latter third day looks after posting 7.5 sacks this past season and 11 in 2017. Crosby has intriguing length at 6-4, 250 and a pretty good motor, but needs to show pro scouts he has better than projected speed and quickness. With the addition of these two players, the number of underclassmen to have indicated in one way or another that they will be entering the upcoming draft to 42.
