Shriners to kick-off this evening … The first of this weekend’s double-header of all-star games goes this evening when the East-West Shrine game kicks off later this evening at 8 PM ET in Las Vegas with TV coverage on the NFL Network. And while the Shrine game doesn’t have the star power of the Senior Bowl, which will be played on Saturday, there are still some interesting players in Las Vegas this week including QBs D’Eriq King of Miami, who also took some snaps as a slot receiver, Iowa State’s Brock Purdy, Skylar Thompson of Kansas State and Brown’s EJ Perry, while other players of note include South Dakota State RB Pierre Strong, who led all FCS rushers with almost 1,700 yards on the ground this fall and Western Kentucky WR Jerreth Sterns, who led all FBS receivers with just over 1,900 yards this season. Meanwhile, other notable players to watch in the Shrine game include Indiana WR Ty Fryfogle, Boston College C Alec Lindstrom and Miami S Bubba Bolden, while several lesser known players had solid weeks at practice including UCLA WR Kyle Phillips, Virginia TE Jelani Woods, North Carolina CB Kyler McMichael, Tennessee DT Matt Butler and North Dakota State OT Cordell Volson. Here are the full rosters for this week’s East-West Shrine game.
