More combine 40 updates

More combine 40 updates … The first group of WRs have completed their 40 runs and we are still waiting for the official times, but at least based on the unofficial clockings it was a nice outing for Calvin Austin of Memphis who blitzed a 4.32, although he was actually hoping to get under 4.30. Penn State’s Jahan Doton (4.41) and Skyy Moore (4.39) also had good clockings, but they too were probably hoping to be faster. Meanwhile, Danny Gray of SMU may have opened a few eyes with a time of 4.33 as did kevin Austin of Notre Dame who posted a 4.37 unofficial time. On the other hand, it was kind of a ‘meh’ run for Arkansas’ Treylon Burks who had runs of 4.55 and 4.50. Not bad for a 225-pounder, but he was reportedly hoping for something in the low 4.4s. Also a disappointing time of over 4.60 for Purdue’s David Bell. Of note, neither Drake London of USC nor Alabama’s John Metchie ran as they are rehabbing injuries. Meanwhile, anyone who stepped out for a pop during the 40s for the QBs ended up missing the whole show as only quarterbacks – Jack Coan of Notre Dame via Wisconsin and Kent State’s Dustin Crum bothered to run at all. And one final note from the TE heats earlier today. UCLA’s Greg Dulcich had his unofficial time of 4.63 seconds downgraded slightly to a not quite as fast but still very good time of 4.70. The official times for other TE leaders including Chiq Okonkwo of Maryland (4.52) pretty much stood.
