Jayhawks boot veteran WR Gonzalez … With training camp set to start tomorrow, Kansas has reportedly dismissed senior WR LaQuvionte Gonzalez for an unspecified violation of team rules. The 5-9, 180-pound Gonzalez is a possession receiver who is considered to be a late round/free agent prospect for the 2018 draft after hauling in 62 passes for over 700 yards and three touchdowns last fall. Because he has already redshirted – he sat out the 2015 season after he transfreered from Texas A&M – and does not appear to have graduated, Gonzalez will likely have to go the FCS route if he wants to play this coming fall.
