Draft adds pair of top junior RBs … The RB class for the 2019 draft got a whole lot more interesting this morning with the announcements that both junior backs Devin Singletary of Florida Atlantic and Memphis’ Darrell Henderson will be entering the upcoming draft. Both have rushed for over 1,900 yards in a season during their careers. Henderson, one of the fastest rising prospects in this year’s draft class, got his this year when he ran for 1,909 yards and 22 scores; along the way, Henderson averaged a remarkable 8.9 yards per carry. For good measure, Henderson added another 300 yards and three scores through the air as he averaged a lusty 15.6 yards on 19 catches to lead the nation in both total offense from scrimmage and total TDs. For his part, Singletary ran for 1,348 yards this fall, after piling up over 1,900 himself in 2017. The duo are also somewhat similar in other ways. Both are listed at 5-9, 200, while neither is considered to have track type speed; however, both are quick, explosive, instinctive runners who figure to be selected at some point during the second day of the draft.
