Clemson loses three more to draft … Three more Clemson players announced earlier today that they will be entering the draft including FS Jayron Kearse, DE Kevin Dodd and safety T.J. Green. Kearse, who figures to be one of the top 2-3 safeties in this year’s draft, had been expected to make the decision to go pro, but the other two are less well enough. Dodd, though, did make a statement in Monday’s national championship game loss to Alabama when he had three sacks. In fact, the 6-5, 275-pound Dodd actually had more sacks this year than fellow junior DE Shaq Lawson, who has already declared for this year’s draft where he projects to go in the first 10-15 picks. For his part, Green is 6-2, 205 with decent speed, but looks to be more a later round or free agent prospect. Meanwhile, the NFL is still waiting to hear from redshirt sophomore CB Mackensie Alexander, another potential top 10-15 prospect if as expected he also ultimately enters this year’s draft. Underclassmen have until Monday to file paperwork with the NFL to be included in this year’s draft.
