Duke QB gets 6th year

Duke QB gets 6th year … Duke QB Thomas Sirk has been granted a 6th year of eligibility by the NCAA after he sat out the 2016 season with a torn Achilles tendon. Sirk underwent a season-ending surgery back in September. Sirk had also missed the entire 2013 season with an earlier Achilles injury.

Couple more off to Mobile

Couple more Senior Bowl invites confirmed … According to reports, both Louisiana Tech WR Trent Taylor and Tulane DT Tanzel Smart have received and accepted invitations to attend this year’s Senior Bowl in Mobile on January 28th. The Senior Bowl staff is expected to announce another round of formal invitations, likely including Taylor and Smart, later this week.
