Pats back-up QB Jimmy G to Browns rumblings heat up … again … One of the enduring storylines of the off-season that refuses to go away is that Cleveland could be interested in considering trading for New England back-up QB Jimmy Garoppolo to try and answer their glaring issue at the position. The Browns have the #1 pick overall at the 2017 draft, but are not believed to be all that enamored with any of the top QB prospects this year. The Browns aren’t going to include the #1 pick overall in any package for Garoppolo, but might be tempted to include the 12th pick, which Cleveland acquired from Philadelphia in a draft day trade last April, especially if they really aren’t sold on the likes of DeShaun Watson of Clemson or North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky, this year’s top QB prospects. Needless to say that the Patriots, who are in Houston preparing for Sunday’s Super Bowl aren’t saying anything, but they have certainly been known to move players in the past. Stay tuned!
