Colts hire new G.M. … Indianapolis has hired Kansas City Director of Player Personnel Chris Ballard as the team’s new General Manager. Ballard replaces Ryan Grigson who was fired after five seasons on January 21st.

Dispatches from Mobile: Thursday practice … Most of the NFL scouting and personnel community cleared out of Mobile literally minutes after the South practice end late this afternoon, but our Pigskin Paul Guillemette is still on the job and posts this report on Thursday’s practice sessions.
