More sub-4.5 40 times from the WR runs at the combine including those by baylor’s KD Cannon (4.47), Miami’s Stacy Coley (4.46), underrated Robert Davis of Georgia State (4.45) and Michigan’s Amara Darboh (4.46). LSU’s malachi Dupre, who isstarting to get some second round interest had a decent 4.53 time. His LSU teammate Travin Dural though ran a… Read More »

NFL.com has posted the final, official 40 times for the offensive linemen and they are pretty much reflect the original numbers. TCU G/T Aviante Collins was the fastest OL with a 4.81 time. The most impressive OL though were Utah LT Garett Bolles and Western Kentucky’s Forrest Lamp who had 4.95 and 5.00 clockings respectively. Underrated Jess Dunker… Read More »

Combine headline: White guy runs fast. Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey had the fastest unofficial time of the top 4 RBs edging out Dalvin Cook (4.50) and Len Fournette (4.51) and Alvin Kamara (4.53) with a 4.49 clocking.

Tennessee’s Alvin Kamara ran a little slower than expected with a 4.53 unofficial time. That’s after he put up graet numbers in both the vertical and long jumps.

Disappointing times for Corey Clement (4.68) and James Conner (4.66) who of course has made that dramatic recovery from cancer. Kareem Hunt also ran in that slow 4.65+ range.

Davin Cook and Len Fournette both ran in the 4.50 range in back-to-back runs. Cook was in at 4.50 whih was probably a little slower than he would have liked, while Fournette’s 4.51 was solid at 240 pounds especially after he was only able to post a 28.5 inch vertical earlier this morning which wouldn’t have beaten some… Read More »

First group of RBs, which should include both Dalvin Cook of Florida State and LSU’s Len Fournette, getting underway.

For many NFL teams the 10-yard splits matter more for the OL than the 40. FTR here are the OL split times in order: Aviante Collins, TCU                             1.69 Garrett Bolles, Utah                               1.71 Danny Isidora, Miami                            1.73 Forrest Lamp, Western Kentucky       1.76 Cam Robinson, Alabama                       1.78 Ben Braden, Michigan                           1.79 Dion Dawkins, Pittsburgh                     1.80 Jess Dunker, Tennessee State              1.80… Read More »

After Cam Robinson’s nice run, the OL 40 became a lumber rather than a dash. Indeed, only one of the 9 OL who ran after Robinson, only one managed to break the 5.30 mark and that was Utah’s Sam Tevi who was barely under that mark at 5.28. That latter group included some big guys who ran more… Read More »

Very nice run by Alabama OT Cam Robinson who answered some questions about his pure athleticism. Robinson had an unofficial hand-timed 40 of 5.15 with a very good 1.78 split for a guy that size. Robinson still has some boxes to check off but that time, if it holds, is definitely within the parameters most teams use for… Read More »

Very good times for Forrest Lamp who broke the unofficial 5-flat barrier (4.99) with a very quick 1.76 split. First round here we come!

Disappointing times of 5.26 with a 1.88 split for Tony Garcia, an undersized OT who needs to be athletic. Same for A&M’s Avery Genessy who was sundial slow in 1.92 and 5.42. Also a very slow 40 time for Vandy’s Will Holden who also ran in the 5.45 range.

Up now. Second group of big uglies to run their 40s including Cam Robinson, Forrest Lamp, Tony Garcia, Rod Johnson, Dorian Johnson, and Taylor Moton

First group of OL are done their 40s. Here are their official unofficial times at NFL.com.

Indiana OG Dan Feeney was probably a little disappointed with his first 40-run as he clocked an unofficial 5.28, although his ten yard split of 1.82 wasn’t bad. Meanwhile, a couple of interesting efforts. Jess Dunker of Tennessee State (who actually started his career at Florida State) ran a quick 5.05 40, although his split of 1.80 was… Read More »

Pretty good 40 time for Pitt G/T Dion Dawkins who clocked an unofficial hand-timed time of 5.11 although his 10-yard get-off of 1.80 wasn’t all that great. Meanwhile, he’s not the most well-known OL prospect out there but TCU G/T Aviante Collins really opened some eyes with a super fast 4.78 40 clocking with a even quicker 1.69… Read More »

The 40s are underway at the scouting combine in Indianapolis with the first group of offensive linemen on the track. And it was a great start for Utah OT Garrett Bolles whose initial time was 4.96 seconds for the 40 with a quick 1.71 10-yard split. As we have noted the official electronic times which will be announced… Read More »
