Big pro day with the first overall pick week ahead … The busiest week on the annual pro day schedule gets underway on Monday with workouts at Iowa, Miami and Texas A&M among other schools. The monster day this week, though, will be on Wednesday when Southern Cal, Ohio State, Alabama and Texas all hold their pro days on the same day. It will be interesting to see whether QB Caleb Williams, the presumptive pick by Chicago with the #1 pick overall, opts to throw. Same story in Columbus where its very likely that star Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison, the consensus top non-QB prospect this year, works out with his former Buckeye teammates. In fact, the more interesting throwing session could actually be on Friday when Michigan QB JJ McCarthy, currently the most polarizing prospect in this year’s draft class, is expected to go through a scripted throwing session for pro teams. Meanwhile, other pro days on interest this week include Toledo with CB Quinyon Mitchell on Tuesday and Notre Dame on Thursday where OT John alt will be the big draw.
