Another domino falls; Eagles get #2 pick from Browns … The conventional thinking around the NFL was that any deal for the 2nd pick overall at this year’s draft might only occur when Cleveland actually got on the clock next Thursday evening. However, with other teams lurking, Philadelphia pulled the string today and acquired this year’s second pick from Cleveland in exchange for the 8th pick overall, along with one of their two third rounders – the 77th pick – and a 4th rounder (#100), as well as their first round pick in 2017 and a second rounder in 2018. To complete the deal, the Eagles will also get a fourth-round from the Browns in 2017.
