Titans sign 49ers Carthon as new G.M. … There are multiple reports that Tennessee is hiring Ran Carthon as the team’s new G.M. replacing Jon Robinson who was fired in December. Carthon, the son of former NY Giants FB Mo Carthon who was a member of two Super Bowl winning teams in the 1980s, has worked in scouting in the NFL since 2008 and most recently was director of player personnel with San Francisco. Because Carthon is a minority hire the 49ers will get compensatory picks at the end of the third round in 2023 and 2024. And if our math is correct, the 49ers will actually have three minority hire comp 3rd round picks this year.
