Irish TE Mayer to enter draft; same with Northwestern RB Hull … To no one’s surprise, Notre Dame All-American TE Michael Mayer, a 3rd year junior, has confirmed that he will be entering the upcoming draft; he will also be skipping the Irish’s bowl game. Mayer is the consensus top TE in the 2023 draft class with top 10-15 potential. At the same time, Northwestern junior RB Evan Hull, a 4th year player, has announced that he will also be entering the draft. The 5-11, 210-pound Hull is more a third-day type, although he is a potentially useful addition as he ran for over 1,900 yards over the past two seasons while also catching 88 passes.
