College comings and goings

December 2, 2022

College comings and goings … A number of college players showed up on the transaction wire today with the most notable perhaps that Old Dominion WR Ali Jennings, who had been expected to enter the draft, instead will enter the transfer portal. This past season, Jennings averaged 17.8 yards per catch on 54 total receptions. Same story for Kentucky RB Kavioskey Smoke, who put up some decent numbers filling in for a suspended Chris Rodriquez early this fall. In fact, its a little bit surprising that Smoke is opting to transfer as he figured to be the #1 guy with the Wildcats next fall. On the other hand, Louisville junior RB Tiyon Evans has confirmed that he’ll be entering the draft. The 5-10, 210-pound Evans, a one-time highly regarded recruit at Tennessee has flashed at times in his college career, but was hampered by ankle injuries in each of the past couple of seasons.

The Senior Bowl has announced the addition of two more names to the roster for this year’s game including Florida LB Ventrell Miller and Auburn Derick Hall.
