QB Thorson starts for B10 Wildcats … Updating a story from earlier today, veteran Northwestern QB Clayton Thorson, who tore an ACL in the team’s bowl game last December, did start the Wildcats season opener at Purdue. Thorson, a legitimate prospect at the position for the 2019 draft, has been practicing for several weeks, but team officials didn’t announce that he was healthy enough to start until just minutes before kick-off. Needless to say its a big plus in scouts’ eyes that Thorson is back in the lineup so early.
