1) CLEMSON 12-1 One slip when their QB got hurt has been forgotten with dominant play in November. Best all-around team in the country, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
2) OKLAHOMA 12-1 One early slip and a Defense which has problems against teams that pass as well their own Offense. But their Offense is just plain dominant and getting better as young skill position guys gain experience.
3) GEORGIA 12-1 Got pounded at Auburn, but their revenge victory in SEC Championship game was pretty convincing. They have solid D and their O can compete as FROSH QB FROMM improves with every game.
4) ALABAMA 11-1 SABAN ran LANE KIFFIN off and got his vanilla Offense. But because of injuries their D went from great to good and Offense has not made up the difference. If some injured players mend a bit by January they could make the two game run for another title quite interesting.
5) SOUTHERN CAL 11-2
6) OHIO STATE 11-2
7) WISCONSIN 12-1
8) CENTRAL FLORIDA 12-0
9) PENN STATE 10-2
10) WASHINGTON 10-2
11) MIAMI (F) 10-2
12) AUBURN 10-3
13) NOTRE DAME 9-3
14) MEMPHIS 11-2
15) T.C.U. 10-3
16) L.S.U. 9-3
17) TOLEDO 11-2
18) SOUTH FLORIDA 9-2
19) OKLAHOMA STATE 9-3
20) WASHINGTON STATE 9-3
