Zona CB, ‘Noles DE to portal … There have been a couple of moves to the transfer portal involving a couple of players that at one time this fall were considered to be potential top 10-15 prospects for the 2025 draft that kind of slipped under the national media spotlight. Arizona CB Tacario Davis, who was still generally considered to be a solid second-day for the upcoming draft, has opted to enter the transfer portal as has Florida State DE/ER/OLB Patrick Payton, although in the latter case, he had a very disappointing season along with pretty much the entire Seminoles’ roster to the point that he had almost dropped off the draft radar entirely. It is still possible that one or both could still opt to enter the draft, but for now it appears that they will both be back in college somewhere next fall.
