Wrist surgery for Red Raider QB Mahomes

December 13, 2016

Wrist surgery for Red Raider QB Mahomes … According to an ESPN report via RedRaidersports.com, Texas Tech junior QB Patrick Mahomes, the nation’s leading passer in 2016, recently underwent surgery to repair a wrist injury. What isn’t known at this time, is whether the injury will affect Mahomes’ decision whether to enter the 2017 draft and, if so, what impact it will have on his pre-draft preparations and participation. Mahomes was able to play through the injury through the second half of the season, but published reports also indicate there will be something of a rehab period. Mahomes is currently the 4th rated QB on the GBN ranking for the position and will show up with an early to mid second round grade on an updated GBN Big Board which should be posted later this week or early next.
