Weekly prospects preview

Weekly prospects preview … After a couple of quiet weeks on the college football schedule, things pick up again this week with teams heading into the homestretch final month of the season. And the focus this weekend will be on the Big Ten which has a couple of virtual elimination games on the schedule in the conference’s East division. In fact, there were whispers around the country earlier in the season that just maybe the Big Ten East was beginning to seriously challenge the SEC West as college football’s best division. That might be a bit of a stretch, but the BTE does have three of the countries’ top 8 ranked teams and it would have been four in the top ten had Penn State not been upset last weekend by Illinois. What makes the BTE so interesting is that those 4 teams are going to spend the final month of the season playing mostly each other starting this weekend when upstart Michigan State hosts Michigan on Fox’ Big Noon Kick-off, while Ohio State will be facing Penn State in the evening. Here’s a quick preview of who to watch with an eye toward the 2022 draft during this weekend’s big Big Ten double-header.
