WashComs deal DE Sweat to Bears for 2nd rounder … With the NFL trading deadline coming up in just under 4 hours, Washington has in fact dealt one of their DESs sending Montez Sweat to Chicago for a 2024 second-round pick. There had been speculation that the Bears were actually interested in Chase Young, the Commanders other DE, but obviously settled for Sweat who is in the final year of his rookie contract. However, the Bears have plenty of cap space in 2024 to allow a contract extension for Sweat who 6.5 sacks and a couple of forced fumbles to date this season.
