WashComs bench QB Howell; to start Brissett Sunday … Washington has confirmed that Jacoby Brissett will start at QB this Sunday in place of Sam Howell who had started all season when the Commanders host San Francisco. What that suggests is that the 4-11 Commanders, who likely will have a top 3-4 selection at the 2024 draft – their other remaining game is against Dallas – will be looking for a QB with their top pick. Howell had been among the league leaders in total passing yardage this fall, but he’s only completed 63% of his passes and has thrown 17 picks.
