USC DE/LB first to declare for 2022 … It kind of slipped under the radar last week, but Southern California junior DE/OLB Drake Jackson appeared to become the first underclassman to at least unofficially declare for the 2022 draft when he told a local reporter that the upcoming season would be his last in college, but that he intended to go out with a ‘bang’. Jackson is generally considered to be a top 10-15 prospect for the upcoming draft, but he could very well move up into the top 10. He’s 6-4, 270 and is at his best rushing the passer, but he likely won’t post big numbers with the Trojans who use him as a hybrid DE/OLB who plays a lot in coverage.
