Upset required to shuffle draft order

December 5, 2020

Upset required to shuffle draft order … Just about every week to date in the season there has been at least one match-up between teams sitting on top ten picks. Not so this week, though, meaning there will have to be some upsets for there to be changes in the proverbial ‘if the draft were held this week’ selection order for the 2021 draft. The still-winless NY Jets, who would have the #1 pick overall were the held last week, for example, are hosting Las Vegas, while Jacksonville, currently sitting on the second pick, will be in Minnesota. At the same time, #3 Cincinnati, will be at Miami, while #4 Dallas will be in Baltimore on Tuesday and the LA Chargers, who would pick 5th this week, will be home to New England. And so it goes, with #6 Philadelphia at Green Bay and #8 Washington at Pittsburgh on Monday afternoon. The only team with a top ten pick that won’t lose this week is Carolina, which is sitting on the 7th pick, as the Panthers are on their bye week. As usual, the full, opening round selection order will be updated after this week’s action is completed.
