Update on QB Milroe and the Tide pro day … We made the comment in an earlier report today that Pittsburgh was well represented by a full house of Steelers execs including GM Omar Khan and head coach Mike Tomlin at the Alabama pro day where the featured player was QB Jalen Milroe. We also wondered out loud which other teams had sent senior people to the Tide workout. Well, we have spent the rest of the day trying to find outthe answer the question and so far with come up empty. It doesn’t appear if any other team sent anyone of import to checkout Milroe. Heck, we couldn’t even find any references to even a QB coach being there other than the Steelers guy. Not sure what it means because reading the tea leaves is an inexact science, but one would think that any team thinking of Milroe as an option this April, even with a second day pick, would be taking advantage of the pro day for a little up close and personal face time. As such it is going to be interesting to see how teams deal with the pro days of some of the other top second-tier QB prospects such as Mississippi’s Jaxson Dart, Quinn Ewers of Texas, and Louisville’s Tyler Shough.
