UK RB to return October 1; college injury notes … Star Kentucky RB Chris Rodriquez has reportedly been cleared to return the to the team as of October 1. Rodriquez, the second leading rusher in the SEC last fall when he piled up almost 1,400 yards on the ground, is currently suspended after he plead guilty to charges of DWI and careless driving earlier this year. The Wildcats, who are 2-0 without Rodriquez after Saturday’s big upset win at Florida and play FCS Youngstown State and Northern Illinois of the MAC, could have him back for their SEC game at Mississippi on the first of next month. Meanwhile, a couple of injuries we are tracking. Pitt QB Kedon Slovis appears to be out of this weekend’s game with Western Michigan after sitting out the second half of last Saturday’s OT loss to Tennessee after he took a hard hit in the first half.
