‘Cats’ QB to transfer … Kentucky junior QB Patrick Towles has announced that he will be transferring elsewhere for his senior season. The 6-5 Bowles, a one-time superstar recruit, was considered to be a possible early entrant to the 2016 draft coming into the season, but struggled during the season and ultimately lost his job to a freshman. Towles, the grandson of former MLB P Jim Bunning, did not indicate where he was headed, but as a 4th year junior he should be close enough to graduating that he can take advantage of the NCAA graduate transfer rules and find a FBS program that runs a more pocket-passer oriented offense than Kentucky runs.
