UGA TE Bowers to have ankle surgery … All-America Georgia TE Brock Bowers, one of the top prospects overall for the 2024 draft will have surgery on his injured left ankle later today. Bowers, who is currently the 6th rated player on the GBN Big Board, suffered a high ankle sprain in Saturday’s win over Vanderbilt and is expected to undergo what is called TightRope surgery which uses surgical thread instead of metal screws. The surgery is designed to speed the recovery process which is typically 4-6 weeks. As such, top-ranked Georgia hopes to have him back for the latter part of the season, as well as the SEC championship game and the CFP playoffs if they get that far. Stay tuned!
