UGA QB Beck to enter draft … Despite not having a stellar season in 2024 and coming off shoulder surgery earlier this week, Georgia QB Carson Beck confirmed earlier today that he will be entering the 2025 draft despite having a year of eligibility left. Beck had been considered to be potential top 5 pick at the outset of the year, but had an up-and-down season that included way too many picks, although he is still considered to be at least an early second-day prospect. Beck, of course, will not be playing when the Bulldogs face Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl in a CFP quarter-final match-up on January 1st after he injured his elbow on the final play of UGA’s SEC championship game win over Texas earlier this month. he had surgery on Monday to repair ligament damage and while he is expected to make a full recovery, he is not expected to be able to resume throwing until the spring at the earliest meaning he will not be able to work out for NFL teams prior to the draft.
