UGA-FLA preview

October 30, 2015

Who to watch in college game of the week … As noted in the intro to Pigskin Paul’s college football picks and pans column earlier in the week, the really big games on the remaining college football schedule come in November. Next week, for example, it will be LSU at Alabama, ostensibly for the SEC West title (although Ole Miss also still has in that), while Florida State will be at unbeaten Clemson. Then later in the month, Ohio State has to play both Michigan and Michigan State, while the November schedule in the Big XII features something of a round-robin involving its top 4 teams: #2 Baylor, #5, TCU, #12 Oklahoma State and #14 Oklahoma. As such, this week’s schedule kind of pales by comparison with the biggest game of the weekend likely that between #11 Florida and Georgia in their annual battle in Jacksonville. And while “all” that’s at stake in this game is the SEC East title, there will be some pretty good prospects on the field for the 2016 draft; here’s a quick preview of who to watch in tomorrow’s Georgia-Florida dual.
