UGA DE Williams to skip combine workout … Georgia DE Mykel Williams is the latest player at the scouting combine in Indianapolis to announce that he will not be participating in on-field testing and positional drills. The defensive linemen are scheduled to work out tomorrow. Instead, Williams will work out at Georgia’s pro day next month. Williams indicated that he won’t work out tomorrow as he is still not quite 100% as a result of an ankle injury suffered in the Bulldogs’ season opening win over Clemson that he claims hampered him pretty much all season. Interesting in that Williams was generally considered to be a legit candidate to be the top pick this year prior to the start of the season, but saw his stock drop somewhat as he seldom really dominated this season which may have been at least part related to the injury.
