As the UCLA QB turns … There were reports earlier this week that UCLA QB Josh Rosen, one of the leading candidates to be the #1 pick at the 2018 draft, would not not play in the Bruins’ bowl game with Kansas State next week. According to more recent reports, no decision has in fact been made whether Rosen will suit up against the Wildcats. Rosen has practiced all week, but has yet to be medically cleared to play as he remains in concussion protocal after taking several hard hits in UCLA’s final game of the regular season. However, according to Rosen, he wants to play and will be there if he gets clearance. At the same time, ESPN Senior Writer Adam Schefter is reporting this morning that sources close to Rosen indicate that he isn’t all that keen about playing for Cleveland, which looks like a virtual lock on the first pick overall, and would prefer to land with a more stable organization like the Giants which have the second pick. In fact, there is some speculation that Rosen could even rethink his decision to enter this year’s draft if it appears that he could end up in Cleveland. Stay tuned!
