UCLA QB Rosen to throw at combine

February 25, 2018

UCLA QB Josh Rosen to throw at combine … UCLA QB Josh Rosen has become the latest big-time QB prospect for the 2018 draft that he will be throwing at this week’s scouting combine in Indianapolis. Rosen joins fellow QBs Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma, Wyoming’s Josh Allen and Mason Rudolph of Oklahoma State who confirmed last week that they will be full participants in on-field positional drills this weekend. In the past, it was common for top-rated QBs to pass on throwing at the combine in favor of a scripted workout at their pro day. With the other QBs already committed it’s kind of a no-brainer for Rosen to throw this weekend as his biggest task in Indianapolis will be to convince NFL personnel people that he is truly committed to the game. The NFL, though, is still waiting to hear whether Sam Darnold of Southern Cal, arguably this year’s top prospect at the position will also be a full participant this weekend. The QBs will be on the field for their on-field testing on Saturday. Should be interesting!
