UBC OL impress at Canadian pro day … A total of 16 NFL teams sent teams to Vancouver for today’s pro day workout at UBC featuring All-Canadian OT Theo Benedet and Giovanni Manu. And both impressed by all accounts. Benedet, the only two-time offensive lineman of the year in Canadian college football history, measured in at 6-7, 295 and posted a 5.14 40 clocking with a 1.77 split while also recording an athletic 34.5-inch vertical. Manu, in fact, is even bigger at 6-7, 352, but quite remarkably ran a quicker 5.03 40, but with a slower split at 1.81; a former BB standout in high school, Manu also posted a 33.5-inch vertical. For the record, those 40 times including the splits compare very favorably with those posted at the NFL’s scouting combine.
