Two more enter draft

January 8, 2020

Two more enter draft … A couple of more players have reportedly announced they will be entering the 2020 draft including Auburn P Arryn Siposs and Virginia Union RB Tabyus Taylor. Neither is likely to be drafted, although Siposs could conceivably get a free agent tryout after averaging 43.8 yards per punt this past season, although the former Australian rules footballer is already 27 years of age. Meanwhile, the only question NFL types might have for Taylor is how the heck are you even out on the streets. Taylor, a prep star who ran for over 2,000 yards as a high school senior, originally signed with Virginia Tech, but never played there as he spent his first two years out of high school in jail after being charged with an armed robbery. Then 5 months after he was released, he was charged with being an accomplice in a second armed robbery that also included charges of holding a victim at gunpoint, malicious shooting of a firearm, and simple assault, although those charges were ultimately plead down. Taylor finally did get back on the field in 2018 at Virginia Union where the 6-0, 225-pounder ran for over 1,500 yards and then added another 850+ yards in an injury-plagued year in 2019. With these two additions the number of underclassmen who have declared for the 2020 draft is now at 85. Underclassmen have until the end of business on January 20th to apply to the NFL for early entry to this year’s draft.
