Two more added to undeclassmen list

Two more – and more – added to underclassmen draft list … Nebraska junior DT Maliek Collins announced after last night’s bowl win over UCLA that he will forego his final year of eligibility and enter the 2016 draft. The 6-2, 300-pound Collins, who had 2.5 sacks and 4.5 other tackles for loss this fall, reported that he got a ‘good’ grade from the NFL’s special draft advisory committee and given that the committee only grades people as first round, second round or should return to school it suggests that Collins likely got a second round rating from the committee. Meanwhile Washington junior RB Dwayne Washington has also announced that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2016 draft. Washington has pretty good size, but was only a backup with the Huskies, likely will have to make a team as a rookie free agent. It was time to move on for Washington, though, as he has a new family that he needs to support. At the same time, after some internal staff discussions here we have added RBs Jonathan Williams of Arkansas and Georgia’s Keith Marshall, along with Oregon WR/RB Byron Marshall, to the list of underclassmen who have declared for the 2016 draft. All were technically seniors this past season, but have college eligibility remaining because of injuries. These additions bring our unofficial list of underclassmen who have reportedly indicated in one way or another that they will be entering the 2016 draft to 29.
