Two more juniors enter draft … The latest underclassmen to indicate they will be entering the 2018 draft are Tennessee junior DT Kahlil McKenzie and Clemson junior FS Van Smith. McKenzie, the son of Oakland G.M. Reggie McKenzie, was a 5-star recruit for the Vols, but was never overly productive; however, at 6-3, 320 with some athleticism, he’ll certainly get some third-day looks at the upcoming draft. Same for the Tigers Smith who had a breakout year in 2016 when he had 114 tackles and a couple of picks, but saw his productivity dip by almost half this fall when he had just 54 stops and only one interception. Meanwhile, three other relatively promising young players including Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Mike Weber, Boston College DE Zach Allen and Virginia Tech DT Ricky Walker have each indicated they will be returning to school for the 2018 college season. Underclassmen have until the end of business next Monday to file paperwork with the NFL in order to be eligible to be selected in the 2018 draft.
