Turner runs fast 40 … Speaking of checking off boxes or holding serve or whatever, Alabama DE/LB Dallas Turner probably just did that as the top 10 candidate blitzed an official 4.46 40 on the first run by the LBs. Turner, though, wasn’t the fastest at the position today as Payton Wilson of NC State, the last man down the track, edged him out clocking a 4.43 sprint. Meanwhile, other good runs were turned in by Edge Cooper (4.51), Trevin Wallace (4.51) and Florida State’s Kalen DeLoach (4.47). Other notables included Turner’s Alabama teammate Chris Braswell who ran a respectable 4.60, Cedric Gray (4.64), Curtis Jacobs (4.58) and Nathanial Watson (4.63). Here are the official times for the LBs that did run today. And for the record a pack of LBs opted not to run today including Junior Colson, Jeremiah Trotter, Jaylan Ford, Tommy Eichenberg, Michael Barrett, Steele Chambers, JD Bertrand, Ty’ron Hopper, Zion Tupulo-Fetui, Jontrey Hunter, and Tatum Bethune.
