Trade rumors blowing … With less than a week to go before the start of the 2015 draft the NFL rumors of possible trades are starting to pick up steam. In fact we have been suggesting for several weeks now that no one should be shocked if in the end Philadelphia, Cleveland and Tennessee get together on some kind of three-way deal that would see the Eagles end up with Oregon QB Marcus Mariota with the second pick overall, the Browns get veteran QB Sam Bradford from the Eagles, while the rebuilding Titans get a passel of picks to start their rebuilding project under 2nd year QB Zach Mettenberger. And CBS Sports is reporting this hour about a rumored trade between the three that would go somewhat as follows: the Eagles trade Bradford to Cleveland for the 19th pick, the pick the Browns reportedly offered St. Louis for Bradford before he was shipped to Philadelphia and then the Eagles would send the 19th and 20th picks along with DT Fletcher Cox and MLB Mychal Kendricks to Tennessee for the #2 pick, which they would use to take Mariota. We won’t know for a few days yet whether there is any truth to the rumor, but the fact that actual names of players are included makes it at least noteworthy at this point and suggests that indeed something may be afoot. Stay tuned!
