Top WR prospect dinged … Southern California WR Jordan Addison, arguably the top WR prospect for the 2023 draft, suffered either an ankle or knee injury in last night’s heart-breaking 43-42 last-minute loss at Utah which may have ended any hopes previously unbeaten USC had of making the CFP playoff. Addison landed awkwardly when tackled following a 10-year end-around run and was on the ground in apparent pain for several minutes. He did ultimately walk to the medical tent on his own but did not return to the game and was later seen on crutches on the sidelines. At the time, Addison had 7 catches for 106 yards. For those that went to bed early, Utah won when QB Cameron Rising ran in a two-point conversion with 41 seconds on the clock to give the 5-2 Utes the win. The game was highlighted by a truly breakout performance by Utah TE Dalton Kincaid who had 16 catches for 234 yards – a season for a lot of collegiate TEs – to propel the Utes to the win. The 6-4, 240-pound Kincaid was already making a move up draft boards across the NFL and last night’s outing certainly isn’t going to hurt
