Top 5 TE dinged; other college injury notes … All-America Georgia TE Brock Bowers, a top 5 prospect for the 2024 draft, has been forced out of today’s game with Vanderbilt after he suffered an apparent ankle injury. Bowers had his ankle rolled up tried to avoid a tackle and limited off the field after staying down for a few moments punching the turf. Georgia officials, though, are describing the issue as a minor ankle sprain that does appear to be be serious, but its obviously a situation we’ll be following in the days ahead. Meanwhile, elsewhere around the country, neither of WRs Emeka Egbuka of Ohio State nor Florida State’s Johnny Williams were in uniform today for their team’s respective games, both with what are being reported as ‘lower-body injuries’. However, neither is expected to be out that long. Ohio State is also without star RB Tre’Veyon Henderson today, who will miss a second straight week, although he too is expected to be back soon as he is listed as day-to-day. Alabama DB Malachi Moore is also out again today, although the injury he suffered last week – now reported as a regular ankle sprain – is not as serious as what the Tide feared originally.
