Titans put ‘for sale; sign on top pick … New Tennessee G.M. Jon Robinson let it be known to the rest of the NFL during his introductory presser earlier today that any team looking to acquire the #1 pick in this year’s draft should give him a call. The Titans hold the first pick in this year’s draft, but after picking up QB Marcus Mariota with the #2 pick last April, could afford to move down several spots and pick up extra picks. With Cleveland expected to target California junior QB Jared Goff with this year’s second pick, the Titans are hoping that some team such as Dallas or San Francisco that is believed to be looking to add a young QB might be interested in swinging a deal to jump ahead of the Browns to grab Goff for themselves. However, the Titans may have to wait for that call. Dallas, for example, which has talked about finding a future replacement for 35-year-old Tony Romo may opt to sign a young veteran like Johnny Manziel or Robert Griffin, both of whom just happen to be from Texas, while new 49ers’ head coach Chip Kelly may be willing to give incumbent starter Colin Kaepernick one last go at the position. Stay tuned!
