Tigers v Tigers for national college title … It will be the Tigers versus the Tigers on January 13th when defending champion Clemson plays LSU for college football’s national title in New Orleans. Clemson got their the hard way by overcoming an early 16-0 deficit to defeat Ohio State 29-23 in about as good a college football game as one will see in the Fiesta Bowl. On the other hand, LSU rolled over Oklahoma 63-28 in the other national semi-final in the Peach Bowl in a game that was over almost before it started. LSU QB Joe Burrow, the presumptive favorite to be the #1 pick at the 2020 draft, put an exclamation point on his draft status throwing for 7 TDs against the Sooners – in the first half! And while LSU will have a virtual home field advantage in the national title game in two weeks, this one has the potential to be another terrific game.
