Tiger QB Bryant to transfer after demotion

September 26, 2018

Tiger QB to transfer … Instability is not supposed to be a trademark of the #3 team in the country, but things have been fast and furious at Clemson this week with veteran QB Kelly Bryant announcing earlier this morning that he will be leaving the program and transferring to another FBS school after being replaced by freshman Trevor Lawrence as the Tigers’ starter. Because Bryant has played in only four games this season, he will be able to take advantage of the new NCAA transfer rule and will be eligible to play in 2019 at another FBS program next year as a graduate transfer. Bryant, who is 16-2 as the Clemson starter the past two years, had been considered to be a solid second-tier prospect for the 2019 draft with the potential to be a top 100 pick. Stay tuned!
