Tide WR Jeudy; three others enter draft

Tide WR Jeudy; three others enter draft … While the NFL had the football world mesmerized late yesterday with two dramatic AFC wild card games, four more juniors announced they would be entering the upcoming draft including star Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy has been considered to be one of the top overall prospects for the 2020 draft literally from the day last year’s draft ended, but there have been whispers of late that he could be a tad overrated. Alabama head coach Nick Saban, for example, revealed that he had his underclassmen’s grades from the NFL’s draft evaluation committee and QB Tua Tagovailoa was only Tide junior to get a top 15 rating. Time will tell. Meanwhile, the other players who declared yesterday include two other WRs – Donovan Peoples-Jones of Michigan and Quez Watkins of Southern Mississippi – along with Fresno State OG Netane Muti. While he’s hardly a household name, Muti is actually an excellent prospect who is currently the top-rated guard on the GBN positional ranking as well as the 32nd overall prospect on the GBN Big Board. At the same time, both receivers, Peoples-Jones and Watkins, are mid-round types who were never overly productive in college, but both have some sleeper potential as each has reported sub-4.4 speed. In fact, Watkins reportedly runs in the 4.3 range. At the same time, Memphis junior WR Damonte Coxie, another possible mid-round candidate, has confirmed that he will be back in school for his senior season next fall.
